Shanmuka Puiyan
Blindness is always a challenge, but in India, it can mean lack of education and opportunity; only 5 percent of blind children in India receive any education. Shanmuka Puiyan is one of the blessed because Seventh-day Adventist church members have funded and built a new school for the blind in Andhra Pradesh, India. The old school was falling apart and lacked modern conveniences. Now Shanmuka will learn to use a computer, learn about the world around him, and will learn that there are people who care about his needs because Jesus cared about all of us.
